UCPREF is fully committed to ensuring that personal information is kept private during and after use of this site. The information provided here should be read thoroughly so that visitors to our site have a full understanding on how personal information provided to us is kept and used. This policy may be revised in the future, therefore UCPREF encourages site visitors to periodically check for updates.
What information does UCPREF collect?
Currently UCPREF collects contact information on donors and those individuals they wish to honor with a donation. UCPREF uses this information to thank donors and to notify individuals that a donation has been made in their honor. For those individuals who make an online donation to UCPREF, credit card information is collected so that the transaction with the credit card company can be completed. This information is temporarily held in the most strictness of confidence by UCPREF and then destroyed. Email addresses are requested during the online donation transaction process. If a donor does not wish to receive our newsletters and UCPREF updates by email, they can simply remove the check from the designated box on the online donation form.
Use of the UCPREF website does not require providing personal information
Everyone has access to the UCPREF website. No one is required to provide personal information to access information provided on the website.
How is provided information used?
UCPREF will use the information provided to us by site users to notify them of upcoming UCPREF events in their area, send them UCPREF newsletters and provide them with email updates regarding important new findings in CP and developmental disability research.
Will the Personal Information I Provide be given to Third Parties?
The personal information provided to us by site users will not be given, sold or released to third parties.

Any personal information you include in messages posted on the UCPREF web log is available to the public. All viewpoints, ideas, proposals, information and other intellectual property posted on UCPREF’s web log are the property of UCPREF.

If a site visitor is under the age of 18, it is UCPREF’s policy that they notify their parents before making a donation or providing any personnel information to the UCPREF website.
